Terra Memoria
Project Description
“Terra Memoria takes place in the world of Terra, where a shortage of magical crystals and the sudden awakening of ancient machines push six friends to lead an extraordinary investigation.”
Terra Memoria is a cozy RPG developed in Unity by the independent studio La Moutarde and published by Dear Villagers. Blending pixel art and low-poly 3D, it offers an adventure focused on exploration, storytelling, and crafting, in a colorful and warm universe. The game was released on March 27, 2024 on PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S/X, and PlayStation 5.
My Contributions
Participation in the end of production of the RPG and its post-release maintenance. First immersion in a complete professional project, under real conditions, with quality requirements and multi-platform compliance.
Maintenance & User Experience
- Critical bug fixes: softlocks, save file corruption, memory crashes on Switch
- Internal script anomaly resolution
- Menu ergonomic optimization: better mouse support, integration of interactive buttons
- Internal tool production: e.g., PDF export of game guide for merchandise creation
Console Porting & Epic Games Integration
- Work on Nintendo Switch porting: CPU/GPU analysis, loading time optimization, critical crash resolution
- Epic Games Store integration: achievements, cloud saves, access token management
- Contribution to multi-platform tracking with internal tools
Organization & Quality Process
- Continuous integration tracking of fixes at the end of the production cycle
- Use of studio QA workflows: User Report, ClickUp, technical discussions
- Close collaboration with testers / QA team: feedback on bug reports, scenario reproduction, fix validation and retests
Results
This project gave me invaluable experience in commercial video game development: from the end of production to post-release maintenance, through console porting and multi-platform integration. A total immersion in the professional processes of a development studio in collaboration with a publisher (Dear Villagers).
